The Kiss Test in Pen

I picked up a set of these super fine colored pens today (Micron) to start my first colored test with Numberism.

So far, all of my originals have been done in pencil, but I've found the sepia prints to be so much more stunning with the color. I think the color helps the numbers pop off the page and helps the image stand out from across the room.

So I've started my first test, using "The Kiss" Sculpture as my subject. It's odd working in pen. I'm used to being able to erase, so I'm finding I have to trust myself more and just go with it.

I bought brown, red, yellow and black pens. I might do another piece using a lighter color for the falloff and black for the hard shadows. We'll see. I'm going to play with it. I might use red eyes, this sort of thing.
