First Friday:
First Friday on Roosevelt row was crazy fun, though our generator died for a good hour. :(Thanks to everyone who came by to see me from earlier shows! First Friday was swamped as usual, and everyone at Art Consortium had a blast speaking to the waves of people who came through our booth. Next month, we'll have three booths set up with all our artists, and we promise we'll have lights all night long. :)
Dawn Mercato, John Good and Jerry Crow, making last minute touches.
Me packing some prints with a leaning tower of Canvas prints in front of me.
Maynard Breese and Tabulanis in the background, preparing out tent.
First Friday Art Walk. Notice the heater we have.
Yes....we have heat, come by and warm your hands. :)

First Wednesday:
First Wednesday in Chandler was fun as always. We were set up in front of Murphy's Law pub, which has it's own police car, which is just too cool for words. Notice the matted large prints I have now. :)
While I was there, I ran into this awesome chick, Michelle Geiss who works in recycled metals. Her work is stunning, strong and amazingly enough, affordably priced! She was my personal favorite from the walk. You can check her out at www.desertsol.com
I personally loved that there was nothing "chicky" about her. I'm not a very good "female" and neither is she. A fellow scorpio, her work betrays nothing of her gender.
Here, she is working on one of her dragons. I took home one of her small metal spiders with a marble back which sells for only $12 a piece! She had this awesome dragon that fixes to your wall, with it's claws, head and wings protruding from the wall that was just too cool for words. I've decided that when we get a new office, FrogFaith will be commissioning her to make us a frog statue to cling to our outer wall.
Ooh, I also met a Chinese family at First Wednesday and had a chance to practice my Mandarin! I was so excited to get a chance to talk with them that I completely forgot to talk to them about my art. Hen gao shin ren shi nimen!
MACFEST:
I also stopped by MacFest last Saturday for the first time. I didn't know they did this, but I got the Blue ribbon for "Festival Favorite"! They came by, took pictures of yours truly in front of my booth and told me they'll be sending me an interview about my work. I'll post a link once it's up. So that was exciting.
Next up; new shows. :)
